Dancers in Motion

The Dancers in Motion project is a collaboration with choreographer, Sarah Yasmine Marazzi-Sassoon. This collaboration began after Genia and Sarah met in December 2024 while in residence at Kaatsbaan Cultural Park. Throughout the spring of 2025, Genia attended rehearsals to sketch as Sarah and an ensemble of dancers began building out a show. From these drawings, Genia created a series of paintings in both watercolor and acrylic, some of which are available as cards and prints and were sold at a June 2025 works in process show. In September 2025, Genia and Sarah co-hosted an event where Sarah choreographed pieces with two dancers while participants drew.
